Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Kolkata

On arrival at Kolkata Airport assistance & transfer to hotel (standard hotel check in time 12pm). Rest time for personal activities & relax. O/n at hotel.

Day 2: Kolkata

Breakfast at hotel. Full day city tour of Kolkata visiting Fort William, Victoria Memorial, Netaji Bhawan, Howrah Bridge, Dakshineswar Kali Temple & other landmark monuments of the city. O/n at hotel.

Day 3: Kolkata - Bagdogra (Flight)/ Darjeeling (75kms)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport to board flight for Bagdogra. On arrival transfer to Darjeeling check in at hotel. Darjeeling the Queen of Indias hills is a Victorian town of old world charm, surrounded by fragrant tea gardens. Rest time to relax and explore The Mall. O/n at hotel.

Day 4: Darjeeling

Breakfast at hotel. Early morning 4am pick up for visiting Tiger Hill view colorful sunrise over Mt. Kangchenjunga. On way back visit Ghoom Monastery & Batasia Loop. Later visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park (closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Ropeway view point, Tibetans Refuge Center (closed on Sunday), Happy valley Tea Garden (outer view) and Lioyed botanical garden. Enjoy toy train ride on Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. Visit a Tibetan village and Buddhist monasteries Chholing & Darli. Evening free to explore the market. O/n at hotel.

Day 5: Darjeeling - Pelling (72kms)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Pelling check in at hotel. Later visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins, Tashiding Monastery & Sanga Choeling Monastery. Also visit Rimbi water Falls. O/n at hotel.

Day 6: Pelling - Gangtok (130kms)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Gangtok via NH 31A passing through Temi, Taraku, Singtam, Rangpo & Ranipool. The journey is surrounded by lush green forests and Tea Gardens with eye catching picturesque view. On arrival check in at hotel. Later visit Do Drul Chorten, Himalayan Zoological Park, Directorate of Handicraft, Lal bazaar & The Mall. O/n at hotel.

Day 7: Gangtok

Breakfast at hotel. Excursion to Tsongo Lake a paradise for bird lovers. Next visit Rumtek Monastery, Bakthang Waterfall, Tashi Viewpoint & Enchey Monastery. O/n at hotel.

Day 8: Gangtok - Kalimpong - Bagdogra (60kms)/ Hyderabad (Flight)

Breakfast at hotel. Later drive to Bagdogra enroute visit Kalimpong colonial-era buildings MacFarlane Memorial Church & Dr. Grahams Homes. Also visit Durpin Monastery, Deolo Park, Thongsa Gompa & Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brang Gompa. Continue drive to Bagdogra airport to board flight for Hyderabad. On arrival transfer to hotel check in & o/n at hotel.

Day 9: Hyderabad

Breakfast at hotel. Explore 400 year-old metropolitan city teeming with bustling-bazaars & Muslim monuments. Visit Golconda Fort Complex, Qutubshahi Tombs, Charminar, Mecca Mosque, Salarjung Museum & Chowmohalla Palace. O/n at hotel.

Day 10: Hyderabad - Visit Warangal Unesco World Heritage Sites (300kms round)

Breakfast at hotel. Full day excursion to visit The Thousand Pillar Rudreswara Temple one of the fine and earliest available examples of Kakatiya art, Warangal fort built in 13th century and Kakatiya Kala Thoranam. Further drive to Ramappa Temple, this temple has been rightfully described as the “brightest star in the galaxy of medieval temples of the Deccan” a repository of Kakatiyan creative genius, with intricate carvings adorning the walls, pillars and ceilings of this marvellous edifice. Drive back to Hyderabad for o/n at hotel.

Day 11: Hyderabad - Hampi (flight)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport to board flight for Vijayanagar. On arrival at transfer to hotel in Hampi. Rest time free & easy to relax. O/n at hotel.

Day 12: Hampi

Breakfast at hotel. City tour of Hampi an UNESCO world Heritage sites dotted with numerous ruined temple complexes from the Vijayanagara Empire. Visit Hazara Rama Temple, Kings Balance, Mahanavami Dibba, Royal enclosures, Statue of Ugra Narasimha Temple, Virupaksha Temple, Vithala And Lotus Mahal, Vithala Temple Complex and ASI Museum. Day 13: Hampi - Lakkundi - Gadag - Badami (150kms)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Badami via visiting Trikuteshwara & few ruined Temples in Gadag. And Mallikarjuna, Virabhadra, Manikeshwara, Nanneshwara, Lakshminarayana, Someshwara, Nilakanteshwara temples in Lakkundi. Continue drive to Badami check in at hotel. O/n at hotel.

Day 14: Badami, Aihole & Pattadakkal

Breakfast at hotel. Excursion to visit Aihole a historical site & home to over 125 beautiful Chalukyan temples and monuments from 6th to 12th century. And Pattadakal a treasure trove of Hindu and Jain temples complex built-in 7th and 8th century CE. Return to Badami visit cave temples, Badami Fort and Agastya Lake. O/n at hotel.

Day 15: Badami - Hubli (110kms)/ Cochin (Flight)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Hubli airport to board flight for Cochin. On arrival assistance & transfer hotel, check in. In the evening enjoy Kathakali, a traditional dance form of Kerala with lavish costumes, exotic makeup, masks etc. O/n at hotel.

Day 16: Cochin - Alleppey (60kms)

Breakfast at hotel. Morning city tour visiting Fort Cochin St. Frances Church, Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Dutchs Palace & Chinese fishing nets. Later transfer to Alleppey boat jetty to board houseboat and sail through the tropical countryside enchanting backwaters. The Houseboats have generated electricity, sitting cum dining area, separate bedroom with attached English toilets, sun deck and fully loaded kitchen with a chef & driver. O/n in houseboat.

Day 17: Alleppey - Thekkady (160kms)

Day 18: Thekkady

Breakfast at hotel. Explore Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary on a boat. Sanctuary is home to tigers, elephant, rare lion-tailed macaques, sambar deer, leopards and Indian bison. Later spice plantation tour to see crops of cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, coffee etc. O/n at hotel.

Day 19: Thekkady - Munnar (100kms)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Munnar via Ramakkalmedu one of the windiest places in Asia and being so, one can find here a wind farm generating electricity. Visit Frog Rock, Turtle Rock and the highest twin-statue in Kerala called Kuravan & Kurathi. Continue drive to Munnar check in at hotel. O/n at hotel.

Day 22: Madurai - Trichy - Thanjavur (190kms)

Day 23: Thanjavur - Darasuram - Gangaikondacholapuram - Chidambaram - Pondicherry (180kms)

Drive to Pondicherry via visiting The Great Living Chola Temples at Darasuram, Airavateshwarar Temple a storehouse of art and architecture and Gangaikonda Cholapuram Temple complex which includes Nandi Mandapa, Alankar Mandapa, Maha Mandapa, Mukha Mandapa and Ardha Mandapa. Also visit Chidambaram Nataraja Temple dedicated to the dancing posture of Lord Shiva. Arrive Pondicherry check in and o/n at hotel.

Day 24: Pondicherry

Drive pass or walk through stunning French Quarters, charming mustard streets and colonial villas which include French consulate, Raj Nivas, Government Square, Churches & French schools. Day 25: Pondicherry - Mahabalipuram - Kanchipuram - Chennai (240kms)
