Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive - Kathmandu

Arrival at the Kathmandu. Meeting and assistance at airport by our representative and transfer to Hotel. In the evening "Welcome Dinner" at an excellent traditional Nepalese Restaurant where you will enjoy authentic Nepalese food. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu - Dhulikhel (30km/ 1hrs approx)

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Kathmandu’s most ancient and enigmatic holy shrine - Swayambhunath, also known as “Monkey Temple”. Then, visit the giant Buddhist stupa Boudhanath. About 131ft (40m) high, Boudhanath is the largest stupa in Kathmandu Valley, and one of the largest and most important Buddhist stupas in the world.
Later visit Patan, once a glorious independent kingdom, known for the crowding Patan Durbar Square which is honored as the finest collection of temples and palaces with exquisite carvings in the whole of Nepal.
After sightseeing, drive to Dhulikhel, the ancient town check in at hotel. Rest time free and easy to relax. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Dhulikhel - Kathmandu (30km/ 1hrs approx)

Breakfast at hotel, visit Namo Buddha Stupa, one of three main stupas of Kathmandu Valley. Besides its Buddhist significance, the natural environment is very pleasant, with fresh air and good views of Himalayan ranges. Many Buddhists come here for meditation and practice.

Afterwards, drive to Kathmandu with a stop at Bharktapur, which is one of three medieval city-states in the Kathmandu Valley. It is the best place to explore traditional Nepalese architecture and local life and custom, also the best place to witness the great achievements of arts and crafts created by the famous Nepal's Malla Dynasty (1201–1769).

Continue drive to Kathamandu check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Kathmandu - Lumbini (Flight)

Breakfast at hotel transfer to Kathmandu airport to board flight to Bhairahawa. On arrival assistance and transfer to hotel in Lumbini. Lumbini is the birthplace of the Lord Buddha and becomes one of four Buddhist pilgrimage sites based on major events in the life of Gautama Buddha. Lumbini was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Rest time free and easy to relax. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Lumbini

Breakfast at hotel full day to explore Lumbini. Visit Lumbini Garden and take a look at the various monasteries built by different Buddhist countries, inculding Chinese Monastery with a complex of several pagodas and prayer rooms built by Buddhist Association of China, Royal Thai Monastery with featured Thai-style architecture, Korean Monastery containing delicate images of Lord Buddha, and some others. Then visit Maya Devi Temple, which sits on the site of the Buddha’s birth according to the Buddhist scholars. It is the most important shrine in Lumbini dedicated to the mother of Gautama Buddha. The sacred pond beside the temple is believed to be where Maya Devi took the ritual dip prior to giving birth to the Buddha. The surrounded grounds are the ruined foundations of a great number of brick pagodas and monasteries which can be trace back to the 2nd century BC to the 9th century AD. Just in front Maya Devi Temple, you can find Ashokan Pillar, an inscribed sandstone pillar to commemorate that the Indian emperor Ashoka visited Lumbini in 249 BC. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Lumbini - Kathmandu (Flight)

Breakfast at hotel transfer to Bhairahawa airport to board flight to Kathmandu. On arrival assistance and transfer to hotel.

Later visit Kathmandu Durbar Square with its array of temples overlooked by the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, the ancient palace of the Nepalese Royalty. Pashupatinath temple one of the holiest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Visitors will be permitted to view the temple from the east bank of Bagmati River, entrance in the temple being strictly forbidden to all non Hindus.
Rest time free and easy to relax. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7: Kathmandu – Pharping – Kathmandu (20km/ 1hrs approx one way)

Breakfast at hotel drive to Pharping, a sacred monastic zone with beautiful myth of Guru Rinpoche visiting the place. There are many holy caves for Buddhist practice and pilgrimages as well. You will begin your pilgrimages from the old Vajrayogini Temple, which is at the bottom of the stairs to others. Then the stairs will lead you up to Asura Cave which is the major cave sacred to Guru Rinpoche. On the upper left side of the entrance door is the handprint left by Guru Rinpoche. After that, continue your trip to Yanglesho Cave, where Guru Padmasambhava attained the state of enlightenment.

After this spiritual tour, drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8: Kathmandu - Departure

Breakfast at hotel. As per your flight schedule transfer to airport to board flight for your onward destination.
