Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Mumbai

On arrival at Mumbai airport, assistance and transfer to the hotel (check-in/out time 12pm). Mumbai, a city that never sleeps, offers dazzling shopping arcades, exciting sports activities, nightclubs, discotheques, and a variety of gourmet restaurants. Rest of the day is free for personal activities. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Mumbai

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive along Marine Drive, one of the most picturesque boulevards in Mumbai. Reach Gateway of India, an iconic monument overlooking the Arabian Sea. Board a ferry to Elephanta Caves, which feature ancient rock-cut sculptures of Hindu deities. A flight of 100 steps takes you to the caves on top of the hill. Return by ferry to Gateway of India and continue the city tour. Drive past CST (Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus), a historic railway station, and Parliament House. Visit Dhobhi Ghat, an open-air laundry known for its traditional methods. Explore Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalay, a prominent museum with ancient artifacts, artworks, and sculptures. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Mumbai - Aurangabad (flight)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for a flight to Aurangabad. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Visit Bibi ka Maqbara, a white marble mausoleum built as a tribute by Emperor Aurangzeb to his wife. Explore Panchakki, an ancient water mill with an artificial waterfall used to power the flourmill. Discover Aurangabad Caves, twelve rock-cut Buddhist shrines featuring intricate carvings and sculptures, dating back to the 6th and 7th centuries. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Aurangabad

Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Ajanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its stunning Buddhist rock-cut temples with exquisite sculptures and frescoes. Ajanta Caves, discovered in 1819, date back to 200 BC to 650 AD and include both Chaityas (worship halls) and Viharas (monasteries). Drive back to Aurangabad for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Aurangabad - Hyderabad (flight)

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Ellora Caves, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring 34 monasteries and temples from Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism. Explore Grishneshwar Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlinga shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. Visit Daulatabad Fort, a formidable medieval fortress known for its impressive architecture and strategic location. Transfer to the airport for a flight to Hyderabad. On arrival, transfer to the hotel and check-in. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Hyderabad

Breakfast at the hotel. Explore Golconda Fort, famous for its diamond mines and historical legends. Visit Qutub Shahi Tombs, a collection of tombs and mosques built by the Qutub Shah dynasty. See Charminar, a landmark mosque with an adjoining market called Laad Bazaar. Tour Salar Jung Museum, known for its extensive collection of antiques and artifacts. Visit Chowmahalla Palace, the former seat of the Asaf Jahi dynasty with its opulent architecture. Admire Birla Mandir, a marble temple dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara. Day 7: Hyderabad - Vidyanagar/ (flight) Hampi (35kms)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for a flight to Vijaynagar. On arrival, transfer to the hotel in Hampi and check-in. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Hampi

Breakfast at the hotel. Tour Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the ruins of the Vijayanagara Empire on the banks of the Tungabhadra River. Visit Hazara Rama Temple, known for its intricate carvings depicting Ramayana scenes. See Kings Balance, a massive stone structure used for weighing the king and his offerings. Explore Mahanavami Dibba, a platform used for royal ceremonies. Discover Royal Enclosures, the site of the ancient royal palace. Admire the Statue of Ugra Narasimha, a colossal depiction of the deity Narasimha. Visit Virupaksha Temple, a major Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Visit Gadag, known for its historical Hindu and Jain temples, including the Trikuteshwara Temple with its unique architectural style. Arrive in Badami, check-in at the hotel, and overnight stay.

Day 10: Badami

Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Aihole, home to over 125 Chalukyan temples and monuments, including Durga Temple and Lad Khan Temple. Day 12: Goa

Breakfast at the hotel. Tour Old Goa, visiting Basilica of Bom Jesus, a 16th-century church housing the tomb of St. Francis Xavier. Explore St. Cathedral, Church of Our Lady of Miracles, Church of Our Lady of Rosary, and Nunnery of St. Monica. Visit Aguada Fort, built by the Portuguese, with its 4-storey lighthouse, the oldest of its kind in Asia. In South Goa, visit Mangueshi Temple, Shanta Durga Temple, and Margao, the headquarters of South Goa. Drive past charming beaches including Calangute, Dona Paula, Miramar, and Baga Beach. Overnight at the hotel.
