Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi

On arrival at Delhi airport, assistance and transfer to hotel (check in/out time 12pm). Later, visit the majestic Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former residence of Mughal emperors, showcasing grand Mughal architecture. Explore Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in the world, known for its impressive courtyards and minarets, built by Shah Jahan. Enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, a bustling market area, and visit Khari Baoli Spice Market, famous for its vibrant array of spices and traditional goods. See Raj Gath, a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, marking the site where he was cremated. In New Delhi, visit Humayun’s Tomb, a stunning early example of Mughal garden-tomb architecture, commissioned by Empress Bega Begum. Admire Qutub Minar, a 73-meter tall minaret from the Qutb Complex, showcasing exquisite Afghan architecture. Marvel at the Lotus Temple, a Bahai House of Worship with a unique flower-like shape, symbolizing peace. Drive past President House, Parliament, and India Gate, iconic landmarks of New Delhi. Day 2: Delhi - Leh (flight)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport for the flight to Leh. On arrival in Leh, receive assistance and transfer to the hotel. Rest to acclimatize to the high altitude. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk around Leh Town, taking in the local culture and atmosphere. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Leh

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Leh Palace, a 17th-century royal residence offering panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding Zanskar mountains. Explore Thiksey Monastery, built in 1430 AD, featuring Lakhang Nyerma and several other shrines within the monastery complex. Visit Shey Palace and Gompa, a 16th-century monastery housing a 10-meter high copper Buddha statue and offering insights into Ladakhi Buddhism. Discover Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist monument located at a height of 11,841 feet, built to promote world peace and celebrate 2500 years of Buddhism. Day 4: Leh - Nubra Valley (140kms)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La, the world’s highest motorable road at an altitude of 18,379 feet, offering stunning views of the rugged landscape. Visit Samstanling Gompa in Sumlur village, surrounded by scenic beauty and lined with religious flags, featuring vibrant wall paintings of Buddha. Stop at Panamik to see the hot water springs known for their medicinal properties due to high sulfur content. Arrive at Hunder, known for its silver sand dunes amidst the cold desert, and enjoy a Bactrian camel ride through the dunes. Check-in and overnight at a tent/guest house.

Day 5: Nubra Valley - Leh (140kms)

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Diskit Monastery, a 14th-century monastery with a large Maitreya Buddha statue offering panoramic views of the Nubra Valley. Explore the monastery’s collection of murals and frescoes depicting Buddhist themes. Discover the scenic beauty of Nubra Valley, including its unique landscapes and traditional villages. Enjoy additional local sightseeing based on time and interest. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Leh - Pangong Lake (4hrs)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Pangong Lake via Karu, passing the green valley of Shakti and ascending Chang La, the third-highest motorable pass in India. Observe endemic and migratory bird species and Tibetan Marmots along the route. Arrive at Pangong Lake, a high-altitude lake known for its striking color changes from azure to green and grey. Check-in at camp/guest house and spend time soaking in the breathtaking beauty of the lake. Overnight in camp/guest house.

Day 7: Pangong Lake - Leh (140kms)

Breakfast at hotel. Visit the surrounding and village nearby. Later drive to Leh, check in & overnight at hotel.Breakfast at hotel. Explore the surroundings and nearby village at Pangong Lake. Drive back to Leh, check-in, and overnight at hotel.

Day 8: Leh - Delhi - Agra 204kms)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for a flight to Delhi. On arrival, meet your driver and proceed to Agra. Check-in at hotel. In the evening, watch the Mohabbat the Taj show, an evening performance highlighting the love story behind the Taj Mahal. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9: Agra - Delhi (204kms)

Sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, an ivory-white marble mausoleum built by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, renowned for its stunning architecture and intricate inlay work. Breakfast at hotel. Visit Agra Fort, the main residence of Mughal emperors until 1638, showcasing impressive Mughal architecture and history. Explore Itmad-ud-Daula Tomb, also known as the Baby Taj, commissioned by Nur Jahan for her father, featuring intricate marble inlay work. Later, drive to Delhi and drop off at the airport.
