Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Bangalore

On arrival at Bangalore airport, assistance & transfer to the hotel (check-in/out time 12pm). Visit Lal Bagh Botanical Garden, a historic garden with diverse plant species, a beautiful glasshouse, and a picturesque lake, ideal for leisurely strolls. Explore Cubbon Park, a sprawling green space in the heart of the city with well-maintained walking paths, striking statues, and a variety of flora. Visit Bull Temple, a famous temple dedicated to Nandi Bull with a massive stone idol, known for its unique Dravidian-style architecture. Day 2: Bangalore - Mysore (145kms)

Breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Mysore. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Visit Mysore Palace, a grand palace known for its stunning architecture, vibrant paintings, and rich royal heritage, a must-see landmark. Visit City Palace, another magnificent palace with rich historical significance and a collection of royal artifacts, offering a glimpse into the royal lifestyle. Day 3: Mysore - Shravanabelagola - Hassan (135kms)

Breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Hassan via Shravanabelagola. Visit Shravanabelagola Gommateshwara Temple, famous for its colossal statue of Lord Bahubali, requiring a climb of 600 steps to reach the top, offering spiritual and scenic rewards. Arrive in Hassan, check in at the hotel, and overnight stay.

Day 4: Hassan – Belur – Halebeedu - Sakrebyle Elephant Camp (180kms)

Breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Sakrebyle Elephant Camp. Visit Chennakeshava Temple in Belur, known for its detailed sculptures, intricate carvings, and exemplary Hoysala architecture, a marvel of art and devotion. Visit Hoysaleshwara Temple in Halebidu, another example of exquisite Hoysala architecture with elaborate carvings and sculptures, depicting mythological scenes. Arrive at Sakrebyle Elephant Camp, check in, and have lunch. From 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, join camp naturalists for a nature walk, visit the elephant crawl, and enjoy birding, learning about the local wildlife and their habitats.

Day 5: Sakrebyle Elephant Camp - Badami (325kms)

Early morning wake-up with tea/coffee. From 6:30 am to 9:30 am, trek at Shettihalli Wildlife Sanctuary and interact with elephants, learning about their care, behavior, and the camp's conservation efforts. Learn about the camp's efforts in training and caring for elephants, understanding their needs and behaviors, and the role of mahouts. Drive to Badami, check in at the hotel, and overnight stay.

Day 6: Badami - Aihole & Patadakkal Sightseeing Tour
