Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu

On arrival at Kathmandu airport, meet with our office executive for assistance and transfer to the hotel. Rest time is free for personal activities and relaxation. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, embark on a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu City, starting with the Kathmandu Durbar Square, known for its ancient palaces, temples, and courtyards, reflecting the city’s rich cultural heritage. Visit Swayambhunath Temple (Monkey Temple), perched on a hilltop offering panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley and a chance to observe religious rituals and the local monkey population. Explore the Garden of Dreams, a tranquil oasis in the heart of Kathmandu, featuring neoclassical architecture, beautiful gardens, and peaceful courtyards. In the afternoon, visit Patan City and explore Patan Durbar Square, renowned for its exquisite temples and Newari architecture. Visit the Tibetan Handicraft Center to see traditional crafts and handicrafts created by local artisans. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Kathmandu – Pokhra (200kms/ 5-6hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Pokhara, enjoying scenic views of terraced fields and lush landscapes along the route. Arrive in Pokhara and check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, explore the Lakeside area, taking a stroll along the picturesque Phewa Lake, and visit the nearby World Peace Pagoda, which offers stunning panoramic views of the city and the lake. Enjoy a relaxing evening at the Lakeside area, with its charming cafes, restaurants, and shops. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Pokhara

Begin the day with an early morning excursion to Sarangkot, a popular viewpoint offering breathtaking sunrise views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Return to Pokhara for breakfast. Visit Devi's Fall, a spectacular waterfall with a mystical cave, and Gupteshwor Cave, a sacred site with a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Explore the Tibetan Refugee Camp to learn about the Tibetan way of life and see traditional crafts. Visit the Seti River Gorge to witness the powerful flow of the river and the dramatic landscape. Enjoy an evening boat ride on Phewa Lake, with views of the tranquil waters and reflections of the surrounding peaks. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Pokhara – Chitwan (160kms/ 4-5hrs approx)

After breakfast, embark on a drive to the Royal Chitwan National Park, passing through scenic foothills and alongside the Trisuli River. Arrive at the park and check in at the lodge/resort. Enjoy the afternoon exploring the lodge’s surroundings or participating in optional activities such as a village visit or a nature walk. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Chitwan

Early morning, set out for a game viewing excursion by jeep or on elephant back, seeking out wildlife such as rhinos, tigers, and various bird species in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge for breakfast. In the late afternoon, embark on another game drive or join a nature walk to observe the park’s diverse flora and fauna. Participate in cultural activities organized by the lodge, such as a traditional Tharu dance performance. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Chitwan – Kathmandu (160kms/ 4hrs)

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu and check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Pashupatinath Temple, a major Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shiva, located on the banks of the Bagmati River. Witness the sacred rituals and cremation ceremonies conducted here. Continue to Bodhnath Stupa, one of the largest and most important Buddhist stupas in Nepal, known for its large mandala and the all-seeing eyes of Buddha that watch over the city. Explore the nearby Thamel area, a vibrant district known for its lively atmosphere, shops, and restaurants. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Kathmandu - Bhaktapur - Nagarkot (32kms/ 1hrs apprx)

Breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Bhaktapur, a well-preserved medieval city known for its rich cultural heritage and traditional Newari architecture. Explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square, featuring the 55-Window Palace, Vatsala Temple, and the Golden Gate, each showcasing intricate carvings and historical significance. Continue the drive to Nagarkot and check in at the resort. Enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas from Nagarkot, including sunrise views of Mount Everest on a clear day, and relax in this peaceful hill station. Overnight at the resort.

Day 9: Nagarkot - Kathmandu - Departure

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Free time until departure, then transfer to the airport for your onward flight from Kathmandu.
