Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu

On arrival at Kathmandu airport, meet with our office executive for assistance and transfer to the hotel. Rest and unwind from your journey, with the remainder of the day free for personal activities or relaxation. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin your day with a visit to Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is situated on the banks of the Bagmati River and is known for its intricate wooden pagoda architecture and sacred rituals. Proceed to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in Nepal and an important pilgrimage site for Buddhists. The stupa is surrounded by monasteries and bustling markets, offering a deep spiritual experience. In the afternoon, explore Bhaktapur City, an ancient city renowned for its rich culture and preserved medieval architecture. Visit the historic Durbar Square, the 55-Window Palace, and the Golden Gate. Wander through narrow streets filled with traditional Newar houses and local artisans. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Kathmandu

Breakfast at the hotel. Start with a visit to Patan Durbar Square, famous for its elaborate Newari architecture and numerous temples. Explore the Patan Museum, which showcases a vast collection of traditional Nepalese art and artifacts. Continue to Swoyambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), perched on a hilltop and offering panoramic views of Kathmandu. The stupa is a sacred site for both Buddhists and Hindus, featuring a stupa with all-seeing eyes of Buddha and numerous small shrines and monasteries. Head to Kathmandu Durbar Square, the former royal palace complex featuring Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Taleju Temple, and the Kumari Ghar (residence of the Living Goddess). Explore the surrounding streets and markets, which are rich in history and culture. Spend the rest of the day shopping and exploring Thamel, a vibrant area known for its eclectic shops, cafes, and street vendors. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Kathmandu - Pokhara (flight or drive 200kms/ 5hrs approx)

Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to the airport for a flight or drive to Pokhara, renowned for its stunning natural beauty and panoramic views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and enjoy the scenic beauty of Pokhara Valley. The valley offers spectacular views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. In the afternoon, embark on a one-hour boating trip on Phewa Lake, the second-largest lake in Nepal. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and views of the surrounding hills and mountains. Visit Tal Barahi Temple located on an island in the lake. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Pokhara

Early morning excursion to Sarangkot for sunrise over the Himalayas. Sarangkot provides breathtaking views of the Annapurna Range, including peaks like Machapuchare (Fishtail). You can either hike up or drive most of the way. Return to the hotel for breakfast, then explore Pokhara city. Visit the International Mountain Museum, which highlights the history of mountain exploration and the culture of mountaineering communities. Explore Devi’s Fall (also known as Patale Chhango), a dramatic waterfall where the water disappears into an underground tunnel. Visit the nearby Gupteshwor Cave, a sacred site with a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Enjoy the lakeside area of Pokhara, where you can stroll along the scenic waterfront, visit local shops, or relax at a lakeside café. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Pokhara

Breakfast at the hotel, then take a hike to the Peace Stupa, located on a hilltop offering panoramic views of Pokhara Valley and the Himalayas. The stupa was built by Japanese monks to promote world peace and is surrounded by peaceful gardens and prayer flags. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Walk around the lakeside area, visit local markets, or simply relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Optional activities include paragliding or visiting the nearby Tibetan refugee camp. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Pokhara - Kathmandu (flight or drive 200kms/ 5hrs approx) - Departure

Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to the airport for your flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be met and assisted with your transfer to the international airport for your departure flight. If time permits, you can explore any remaining sights or enjoy a final shopping trip in Thamel.
