Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Cochin

On arrival at Cochin airport, assistance is provided and you are transferred to your hotel for check-in. In the evening, enjoy a Kathakali performance, a traditional Kerala dance featuring vibrant costumes, intricate makeup, and expressive masks that depict mythological stories. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Cochin

Breakfast at the hotel. Explore Cochin, a coastal city where traditional and Western influences merge beautifully. Visit Fort Cochin, a charming area known for its historical Dutch, Portuguese, and British colonial architecture. See the elaborate bamboo fishing nets at Fort Kochi Beach, a unique feature of the local fishing industry. St. Francis Church, where Vasco da Gama was originally buried, offers historical significance and a peaceful atmosphere. Wander through Mattancherry to see the Jewish Synagogue, with its intricate Chinese tiles, and the Dutch Palace, known for its beautiful murals depicting the Ramayana. Enjoy another evening Kathakali performance. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Cochin - Alleppey (60kms)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Alleppey boat jetty to board a traditional houseboat for a scenic cruise through the backwaters. Sail through palm-fringed canals and vast paddy fields, passing picturesque hamlets and witnessing a way of life unique to this region. Alleppey, also known as the Venice of the East, offers stunning views of the backwaters and its surrounding landscapes. Enjoy a sunset from the houseboat’s sun-deck. The houseboat is equipped with modern amenities including a sitting cum dining area, a bedroom with attached English toilets, and a fully equipped kitchen. Overnight on the houseboat.

Day 4: Alleppey - Marari/Kovalam (160kms)

Breakfast on the houseboat. Drive to Marari or Kovalam and check in at a beach resort for a three-night stay. Spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach, enjoying the tranquil surroundings and the warm, sandy shores. Overnight at the resort.

Day 5: Marari/Kovalam

Breakfast at the hotel. If you are in Marari, enjoy a relaxing day on the serene beach, perfect for unwinding and connecting with nature. If staying in Kovalam, visit Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, renowned for its gold-plated exterior and intricate carvings, though entry is restricted to Hindus. Explore Attukal Temple, celebrated for its rich Tamil architectural style. Discover local art and culture at Napier Museum, which features sculptures, paintings, and musical instruments. Visit Kuthira Malika, a 19th-century palace with artifacts like ethnic jewelry, wooden paintings, and armory. Enjoy a drive through popular beaches such as Shankumugham Beach, Kovalam Beach, Vizhinjam Beach, and Lighthouse Beach Road. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Marari/Kovalam

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy another day of relaxation on the beach or explore additional local attractions at your leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Marari - Cochin or Kovalam - Trivandrum (16kms)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Cochin or Trivandrum airport for your onward flight, concluding your journey.
