Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi

On arrival at Delhi airport, assistance and transfer to hotel (check-in/out time 12pm). Rest of the day free for personal activities. Explore local markets or relax at the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former residence of the Mughal emperors, showcasing impressive Mughal architecture. Explore Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in the world, built by Shah Jahan with beautiful courtyards and prayer halls. Enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, experiencing the vibrant atmosphere of Old Delhi. Day 3: Delhi - Amritsar (Train No.12029 SWARNA SHTBDI, 0720/ 1345hr)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to railway station to board the train to Amritsar. Arrival transfer to hotel in Amritsar. Visit Wagah Border to witness the evening Beating Retreat Ceremony, a dramatic display of military ceremony and camaraderie between India and Pakistan.

Day 4: Amritsar - Dalhousie (200km)

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Golden Temple, a sacred Sikh pilgrimage site known for its stunning golden dome and the Guru Ka Langar offering free meals to thousands daily. Explore the Central Sikh Museum atop the Clock Tower, showcasing Sikh history and artifacts. Visit Durgiana Temple, a Hindu temple with architecture reminiscent of the Golden Temple. Day 6: Dalhousie - Killar (Pangi Valley) (200kms)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Killar, navigating the adventurous and challenging road via Saach Pass at 14,500 ft altitude. Experience the breathtaking natural beauty and rugged terrain of the area. Enjoy the scenic views and spend time appreciating the stunning landscapes, particularly at sunset.

Day 7: Killar (Pangi Valley)

Breakfast at hotel. Explore Pangi Valley, a serene and remote area with a tribal population and rugged landscapes. Visit Killar, a small hamlet in a narrow gorge of the Chenab River. Explore Dharwas, the largest village in the valley, and Shour, a swinging bridge over a cold river. Visit Mindhal Basan Devi Temple, dedicated to the deity Mindhal Devi. Day 8: Killar - Kishtwar (120km)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Kishtwar, situated on the banks of the Chenab River. Check-in at hotel.
