Day 4: Bandhavgarh

Start the day with breakfast at hotel before sightseeing. On your morning safari in Bandhavgarh National Park, set out in a gypsy jeep with a naturalist to explore the park’s diverse terrain. Bandhavgarh is renowned for its high density of Bengal tigers, and early mornings offer the best chances of sightings. You may also spot leopards, sloth bears, wild boar, and sambar deer roaming through the park’s lush forests and meadows. In the afternoon safari, venture deeper into the park’s lesser-known zones. In addition to tigers, keep an eye out for over 260 species of birds, including eagles, vultures, and kingfishers, as well as smaller animals like Indian foxes and langurs. Later, visit the Bandhavgarh Fort, a historic structure perched on a hill, where man-made caves house ancient inscriptions and rock paintings, offering glimpses into a 2000-year-old history.

Day 5: Bandhavgarh - Kanha (250kms)

Start the day with breakfast at hotel before intercity drive. On your final morning safari in Bandhavgarh, capture the last moments in this pristine environment. Focus on spotting Royal Bengal tigers, leopards, and bird species in the park’s scenic habitats of marshes, meadows, and rivers. After the safari, embark on a scenic drive to Kanha National Park, one of India’s largest and most well-maintained parks. Arrive at the lodge in Kanha and enjoy lunch and dinner in a tranquil forest setting.

Day 6: Kanha

Start the day with breakfast at hotel before sightseeing. In the morning safari at Kanha National Park, explore the dense Sal forests and vast grasslands, searching for the park’s star species, the hard-ground Barasingha (swamp deer), a conservation success story. Kanha is also home to a significant population of Bengal tigers, Indian leopards, and dholes (wild dogs). Keep an eye out for sloth bears, gaur (Indian bison), and spotted deer. After a break for lunch, head out on an afternoon safari, where you might spot elusive leopards prowling through the undergrowth or see majestic tigers patrolling their territories. Kanha is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with species like Indian rollers, crested serpent eagles, and peafowls adding color to the landscape.

Day 7: Kanha - Pench (215kms)

Start the day with breakfast at hotel before intercity drive. On your morning safari in Kanha, focus on the unique biodiversity of the park, including reptiles like the Indian python and monitor lizards.
