Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Mumbai

On arrival at Mumbai airport, assistance and transfer to the hotel (hotel check-in/out time 12 pm). Rest time is free for relaxation and personal activities. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Mumbai

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Gateway of India to board the ferry to Elephanta Caves (Monday closed). Climb 100 steps to reach the top of the hill where the Elephanta Caves are located. Explore the ancient rock-cut temples and intricate sculptures dedicated to Hindu gods. Cruise back to Gateway of India. Visit Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its Gothic architecture. Explore the Prince of Wales Museum, which houses a diverse collection of artifacts, sculptures, and art from India’s history. Visit Mani Bhawan, the historical residence of Mahatma Gandhi during his visits to Mumbai, now a museum dedicated to his life. See Dhobi Ghat, the city’s open-air laundry, where clothes are washed traditionally in large stone basins. If time permits, visit Mount Mary Church, known for its beautiful architecture and serene atmosphere, and Iskcon Temple, renowned for its vibrant devotional activities. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Mumbai - Aurangabad (Flight)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to board the flight for Aurangabad. On arrival, assistance and transfer to the hotel. Visit Bibi ka Maqbara, often referred to as the "Taj of the Deccan," a marble mausoleum built in memory of the wife of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Explore Panchakki, an ancient water mill with an artificial waterfall used to power the mill and provide water for the pilgrims. Discover Aurangabad Caves, a series of rock-cut Buddhist temples known for their ancient architecture and sculptural art. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Aurangabad - Ajanta - Aurangabad (100kms one way)

Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Ajanta, home to 30 rock-cut Buddhist caves dating back to the 2nd century BCE. Admire the intricate sculptures and paintings that depict various aspects of Buddha’s life and previous lives. Drive back to Aurangabad. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Aurangabad - Ellora Caves (36 kms one way) / Mumbai (Flight)

Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Ellora Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with 34 monasteries and temples showcasing a stunning array of Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain cave temples. Visit Grishneshwar Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlinga shrines, renowned for its intricate carvings and religious significance. On the way back, visit Daulatabad Fort, a formidable medieval fort known for its impressive architecture and strategic importance. Transfer to Aurangabad airport to board the flight for Mumbai. On arrival, assistance and transfer to the hotel. Rest time to relax and explore famous malls and markets in Dadar, Fort, and Colaba Causeway, known for their vibrant shopping and dining options. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Mumbai - Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport as per flight schedule to board the flight for your onward destination.
