On arrival at Paro airport, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel in Thimphu for check-in. Visit The Memorial Chorten, a prominent stupa built in memory of the third King, featuring intricate murals and surrounded by prayer wheels where locals perform their daily rituals. Explore Tashichho Dzong, a grand fortress that serves as the seat of Bhutan’s government, housing the king's throne room, secretariat, and ministries of home affairs and finance.
After breakfast, drive to Punakha, crossing Dochula Pass at 3100 meters. On a clear day, enjoy breathtaking views of the eastern Himalayan ranges, including the majestic Mt. Gangar Punsum. Hike to Khamsum Yuley Namgyal Chorten, a stunning temple with a 45-minute uphill walk through lush rice fields and a 30-minute downhill return, offering picturesque views of the surrounding landscape.
