Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Mumbai

On arrival at Mumbai airport, assistance and transfer to the hotel provided. Mumbai offers a vibrant mix of shopping, nightlife, and cultural activities. Rest of the day is free for personal activities.

Day 2: Mumbai

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive along Marine Drive, a picturesque boulevard known as the "Queen’s Necklace" for its stunning evening view of the sea and lights. Visit the Gateway of India, an iconic archway built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary. Board a ferry to Elephanta Caves, known for its rock-cut temples dedicated to Hindu deities. Climb 100 steps to reach the cave complex. Return to the city to see CST (Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus), a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its Victorian Gothic architecture. Pass by the Parliament House, the seat of India’s legislative assembly. Visit Dhobi Ghat, the world's largest open-air laundry where traditional methods are used for washing clothes. Explore Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalay (formerly the Prince of Wales Museum), which houses an extensive collection of ancient artifacts, sculptures, and art from various Indian dynasties.

Day 3: Mumbai - Alibaug (100kms)

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Alibaug and check into your beach resort. Relax at the resort or enjoy a peaceful evening on Alibaug's sandy beaches. Overnight at the beach resort.

Day 4: Alibaug

Breakfast at the hotel. Optional excursion to Kankeshwar Temple, perched on a 1200-foot hill. Climb 750 steps to this ancient temple, renowned for its Hoysala architectural style and its sacred tank, Pushkarni. Visit Alibaug's beaches like Alibaug Beach and Varsoli Beach, ideal for relaxing or engaging in water sports. Explore the Kolaba Fort, a sea fort that was once an important naval base for the Maratha Empire. Accessible by a short boat ride during low tide.

Day 5: Alibaug - Ratnagiri (300kms)

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Ratnagiri, stopping en route at Murud-Janjira Fort, a formidable marine fort with 26 bastions. The fort features large cannons, including Kalalbangdi, Chavri, and Landa Kasam, and has a hidden entrance accessible only by sailboat. Continue to Ratnagiri and check into your hotel. Visit the Ratnagiri Lighthouse, offering panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the surrounding coastline. Explore the Ratnadurg Fort, also known as Ratnagad, which offers scenic views and has historical significance as a Maratha fort.

Day 6: Ratnagiri - Goa (295kms)

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Thibaw Palace, a three-storey palace made of brick and teakwood where King Thibaw of Myanmar was imprisoned. The palace offers views of the sunset over the Arabian Sea. Drive to Goa, stopping en route to explore Sindhudurg Fort, a sea fortress built by Chhatrapati Shivaji. The fort features 42 bastions and is surrounded by smaller forts. The hidden main entrance and several small temples add to its historical allure. Continue to Goa and check into your hotel. Rest and relax at the hotel or explore local areas.

Day 7: Goa

Breakfast at the hotel. Explore Old Goa, starting with the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a 16th-century church renowned for its Baroque architecture and housing the tomb of St. Francis Xavier. Visit St. Cathedral, known for its grand architecture and the largest bell in Asia, and the Church of Our Lady of Miracles. Explore the Aguada Fort, built by the Portuguese to guard against Dutch and Maratha invasions. The fort also houses a 4-storey lighthouse, the oldest in Asia. In South Goa, visit the Mangueshi Temple, known for its beautiful architecture and peaceful surroundings, Shanta Durga Temple, dedicated to the goddess of peace, and Margao, the cultural hub of South Goa. Drive past charming beaches such as Calangute, known for its vibrant nightlife and water sports; Dona Paula, famous for its panoramic views; Miramar Beach, with its golden sands; and Baga Beach, renowned for its lively atmosphere and beach shacks.

Day 8: Goa

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a free day to relax on Goa's beaches or explore additional sites of your interest, such as the spice plantations, Dudhsagar Waterfalls, or local markets. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Goa - Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport as per your flight schedule for your onward journey.
