Dehradun is the capital of the Indian state of Uttarakhand, in the Himalayan foothills. Dehradun is home to Robbers Cave, a river cave formed in the Himalayas locally known as Gucchu Pani. Mindrolling Monastery a Tibetan Buddhist center established in Clement Town by Khochhen Rinpoche in 1965. Being an architectural masterpiece with several sections, the monastery is a visual wonder. Ghanta Ghar, Clock Tower and Paltan Bazaar are the busy shopping areas that provide a glimpse of rustic life.
