Itinerary

Day 1: Kullu - Manali (125kms)

On arrival at Kullu airport, meet your driver and guide. Proceed to visit the Kullu Valley, known for its lush greenery, tranquil river streams, and a blissful climate. Visit Bijli Mahadev Temple, perched at an altitude of 2,460 meters and renowned for its 60-foot-high staff that attracts lightning. Next, visit Manikaran, a famous pilgrimage destination for Sikhs and Hindus in the Parvati Valley, known for its hot springs and scenic beauty. Drive to Manali, stopping at the Beas River viewpoint for a scenic photo opportunity. Check in at the hotel. O/n at hotel

Day 2: Manali

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Hidimba Devi Temple, an ancient cave temple surrounded by cedar forests, dedicated to Hidimba Devi, wife of Bhima from the Mahabharata. Explore Manu Temple, dedicated to Sage Manu, believed to be the creator of the world in Hindu mythology. Visit Vashisht Village, famous for its hot water springs with medicinal properties and ancient Vashisht Temple. Visit the Tibetan monasteries: Himalayan Nyingmapa Gompa and Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa, showcasing beautiful Tibetan art and culture. Stroll through Old Manali, known for its apple orchards, quaint cafes, and vibrant local culture. Day 3: Manali

Breakfast at hotel. Excursion to Rohtang Pass, a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3,980 meters on the eastern Pir Panjal Range. The pass provides a natural divide between the Kullu Valley and the arid high-altitude Lahaul and Spiti valleys, offering stunning views and opportunities for adventure activities like skiing and snowboarding. On the way back, visit Solang Valley, known for its picturesque views and adventure sports such as paragliding, zorbing, and cable car rides. Drive back to Manali, with a stop at Nehru Kund, a natural spring named after Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Rest time to relax and visit The Mall. O/n at hotel.

Day 4: Manali - Shimla (250kms)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Shimla, en route visit Naggar Castle, a historic mansion offering panoramic views of the Kullu Valley and showcasing traditional Himachali architecture. Continue to Shimla, stopping at Sunder Nagar Lake, a serene spot ideal for a quick break and some photos. Check in at the hotel in Shimla. Rest time to relax and spend time on The Mall, known for its shops, cafes, and colonial architecture. O/n at hotel.

Day 5: Shimla

Breakfast at hotel. Visit The Ridge, a wide-open street on the side of Shimla Mall Road, offering panoramic views of the mountains and the city's iconic landmarks. Explore The Mall, an ideal spot for shopping and dining. Visit the Christ Church, the second oldest church in North India, known for its stunning stained glass windows. Visit Jakhoo Temple, dedicated to the monkey god Hanuman, located at the highest peak in Shimla, offering a panoramic view of the Shivalik Ranges. Explore the State Museum, which houses excellent paintings, handicrafts, textiles, and stone carvings, offering a glimpse into Himachal Pradesh's rich cultural heritage. Visit the Viceregal Lodge, a historic building that was the residence of the British Viceroy of India, now known as Rashtrapati Niwas and serving as an institute for advanced study. O/n at hotel.

Day 6: Shimla

Breakfast at hotel. Excursion to Chail, known for its salubrious beauty, virgin forests, and the highest cricket ground in the world. Visit Chail Palace, a heritage hotel offering a glimpse into the royal lifestyle with its well-preserved rooms and lush gardens. Proceed to Kufri, known as Switzerland of the East, offering breathtaking views, stunning locales, and tranquil surroundings. Enjoy activities like horse riding and hiking. Visit Kufri Fun World, an amusement park set at a high altitude, offering rides and attractions with stunning mountain views. Day 7: Shimla - toy train to Chandigarh - Delhi

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Shimla railway station to board the toy train to Kalka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site connecting the Queen of Hills, Shimla, to the Indian plains. This toy train ride, built in 1903, covers 102 tunnels, 864 bridges, and 919 stunning curves in just a 60-mile journey, offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Arrive in Kalka and transfer to Chandigarh airport to board the flight for Delhi. In Delhi, a vehicle will be provided for transit use. Explore the city as per your interest before boarding the departure flight.
