Itinerary

Day 1: Mumbai

On arrival at Mumbai airport, assistance and transfer to the hotel (check-in/out time 12pm). Mumbai is a city that never sleeps, offering a vibrant mix of dazzling shopping arcades, exciting sports activities, nightclubs, discotheques, theatre, music, and gourmet restaurants. Explore the city’s eclectic mix of experiences and enjoy free time for personal activities. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Mumbai

Breakfast at the hotel. Start with a city tour, driving along Marine Drive, a picturesque 3.6 km boulevard along the coastline known for its scenic beauty. Arrive at the Gateway of India, an iconic arch monument built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. Board a ferry from the Gateway to Elephanta Caves, renowned for their ancient rock-cut temples and sculptures dedicated to Hindu deities (closed on Mondays). A climb of 100 steps takes you to the caves on a hilltop. Return to the Gateway of India and continue the city tour, passing by CST (Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus), an architectural marvel and UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Parliament House, the seat of India's legislature. Visit Dhobi Ghat, the city’s famous open-air laundry where clothes are washed in traditional manner. Day 3: Mumbai - Daman (190kms)

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Daman and check in at the hotel. Visit the Cathedral Of Bom Jesus, known for its beautifully detailed altarpiece and intricately carved doorway, built by the Portuguese in 1603. Explore St. Jerome Fort, also known as Nani Daman Fort, built by the Portuguese with a large statue of St. Jerome. The fort complex includes the Church of Our Lady of the Sea and a Jain temple, offering panoramic views of the bustling fish market below. Across the Daman Ganga River, see Moti Daman Fort, which holds the ruins of a Dominican monastery. Close by, the Chapel of Our Lady of Rosary features intricate carvings. Enjoy free time to relax on the beach, soaking in the coastal beauty of Daman. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Daman - Ankleshwar (200kms)

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Ankleshwar and check in at the hotel. Visit Shri Ankleshwar Tirth, a collection of four Digambar Jain temples including Chintamani Parsvanath, Mahavir Swami Mandir, Adinath Mandir, and Neminath Mandir, with Mahavir being the largest and most prominent. Learn about the idols of Sheetalnath, Parsvanath, and Nandi, discovered in the Raskunda area and the historical significance of these temples. Explore the history of Bhootbali and Pushpa Danta, followers of the Pargami Acharya Dharsen, who resided here for planning their srut prachar. Enjoy free time to relax and absorb the serene atmosphere of Ankleshwar. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Ankleshwar - Kevadia (90kms)

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Kevadia and check in at the Tent City or hotel near the Statue of Unity. Visit the Sardar Sarovar Dam, the world’s second-largest concrete gravity dam located on the Narmada River, providing electricity, drinking water, and irrigation to four Indian states. Explore the Valley of Flowers, a beautifully landscaped garden featuring native flora, including hundreds of species of flowers, shrubs, trees, and grasses, with various scenic selfie points. Attend the evening Light and Sound show at the Statue of Unity (closed on Mondays), which features a colorful laser lighting system and narration of Sardar Patel’s contributions to India. Lunch, dinner, and overnight at hotel/Tent.

Day 6: Kevadia - Vadodara (150kms)

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue at 182 meters, with high-speed elevators providing panoramic views from 400 feet above. Drive to Vadodara, stopping en route to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pavagadh-Champaner. This site features a complex of forts, temples, mosques, mausoleum complexes, pavilions, wells, and tanks, built around 1523 in Indo-Saracenic architecture. Arrive in Vadodara and check in at the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7: Vadodara - Mumbai (flight)

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Lakshmi Vilas Palace, the largest private residence in India, four times the size of Buckingham Palace, known for its grand architecture and opulent interiors. Explore Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum, housing a rich collection of artifacts and artworks. Visit Kirti Mandir, a significant historical site dedicated to the local heritage. Transfer to the airport as per flight schedule for the return flight to Mumbai.
