Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Aurangabad

On arrival at Aurangabad airport, you will be assisted and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, relax and prepare for a day of exploration. Explore Ellora Caves, a grand complex with 34 rock-cut monasteries and temples dating from 600 to 1000 AD. Marvel at the intricate sculptures and carvings that represent a fusion of Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain artistic traditions. Discover Daulatabad Fort, an impressive medieval fortress with elaborate defenses including traps and moats. The fort’s strategic position offers panoramic views of the surrounding region. Conclude the day with a visit to Bibi ka Maqbara, a Mughal-style mausoleum built in memory of Aurangzeb's wife. Admire its architectural resemblance to the Taj Mahal, set amidst beautiful gardens. Visit the Aurangabad Caves, a group of 12 rock-cut Buddhist caves known for their unique architecture and ancient frescoes depicting early Buddhist monastic life. Day 2: Aurangabad - Ajanta (210kms round)

After breakfast, set out for a full-day excursion to Ajanta Caves, a collection of 30 rock-cut caves from the 2nd century BCE to about 480 CE. These caves are renowned for their stunning sculptures and vibrant paintings illustrating the life of Buddha and Jataka tales. Return to Aurangabad in the evening, reflecting on the historical and artistic marvels seen throughout the day. Relax at your hotel for the night.

Day 3: Aurangabad - Nashik (170kms)

Depart Aurangabad and drive to Nashik, with a visit to Shirdi Sai Baba Temple en route. Day 5: Kevadia
