Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi

On arrival at Delhi airport, assistance and transfer to your hotel (check-in/out time 12pm). Settle in and prepare for your day of exploration. In Old Delhi, visit the majestic Red Fort, the Mughal emperor's residence for nearly 200 years until 1857 (closed on Monday). Explore Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in the world built by Shah Jahan. Experience a cycle rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, exploring Khari Baoli Spice Market, a bustling area with spices, dried fruit, silver jewelry, and vivid saris. Visit Raj Ghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. In New Delhi, visit Humayun's Tomb, the first garden-tomb in India and an early example of Mughal architecture commissioned by Humayun's first wife, Empress Bega Begum, in 1569-70. Admire the Qutab Minar, a 73-meter tall minaret part of the Qutb complex, showcasing Afghan architecture. View the Lotus Temple, a Bahai House of Worship notable for its flower-like shape. Drive past the President's House, Parliament, and India Gate. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi - Srinagar

Breakfast at the hotel. If the city tour of Delhi wasn’t completed on Day 1, explore Delhi’s remaining attractions, including Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar, and the Lotus Temple. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Srinagar. On arrival in Srinagar, receive a transfer to your hotel and check in. Evening Shikara ride on Dal Lake, experiencing the tranquil beauty of the lake surrounded by the majestic mountains of Kashmir. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Srinagar

Breakfast at the hotel. Start your city tour of Srinagar with a visit to Shalimar Bagh, the largest Mughal garden in Srinagar, constructed by Jahangir in 1619 for his wife Noor Jahan. Continue to Nishat Bagh, a twelve-terraced garden near Dal Lake, known for its lush greenery, beautiful fountains, and historical significance as the second largest Mughal garden, built by Noor Jahan’s brother Asif Khan in 1633. Explore Chashma Shahi, a triple-terraced garden with Persian-style architecture and a natural spring. Visit Pari Mahal, a historical monument and garden complex situated on the slopes of the Zabarwan mountain, offering panoramic views of the Dal Lake and the surrounding valley. Visit Shankaracharya Temple, a sacred 250 BC temple perched on Takht-I-Sulaiman hill, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Srinagar valley. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Srinagar - Gulmarg (56kms)

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Gulmarg, known as "The Meadow of Flowers," and check in at your hotel. At an altitude of 9,000 feet, enjoy the natural beauty of Gulmarg, including the highest green golf course in the world and its premier ski resort. Take a cable car ride on the Gondola, ascending to 13,000 feet for magnificent views of the Himalayan Mountains and Pir Panjal ranges. Optional activities include golf, riding, hiking, and snow skiing (at additional cost). If the weather permits, enjoy views of Nanga Parbat, one of the world’s highest peaks. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Gulmarg - Pahalgam (142kms)

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Pahalgam, "The Valley of Shepherds," located at 7,000 feet above sea level. En route, visit saffron fields and Awantipur Ruins, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu built by King Awantivarman. On arrival in Pahalgam, check in at the hotel. Enjoy the breathtaking views and serene atmosphere of Pahalgam, surrounded by pine forests and the Lidder River. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Pahalgam

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Mamleshwara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, known for its unique stone construction and golden shrine. Explore Aru Valley, the base camp for trekking to Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar-Marsar Lake, renowned for its scenic meadows and alpine lakes. Visit Betaab Valley, surrounded by deodar trees and pine forests, with the Lidder River flowing through it. Visit Chandanwari, a picturesque location known for its scenic beauty and as the base camp for the Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage. Explore Mamleshwara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, constructed entirely of stone by King Jayasima, featuring a shrine covered in gold. Discover Sheshnag Lake, a serene and picturesque lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains and alpine meadows. Rest of the day free to relax. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Pahalgam - Srinagar/ Delhi/ Agra (204kms)

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Srinagar airport for a flight to Delhi. From Delhi, drive to Agra and check in at your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Agra - Delhi (204kms)

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise, an ivory-white marble mausoleum commissioned by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Explore Agra Fort, the main residence of the Mughal emperors until 1638. Visit Itmad-ud-Daula’s Tomb, commissioned by Nur Jahan for her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg. Later, drive back to Delhi and drop off at the airport for your departure.
