Aurangabad is a city in Maharashtra state, in India. It’s known for the 17th-century marble Bibi ka Maqbara, Panchakki & Aurangabad Caves. Nearby Ellora Caves houses 34 monasteries and temples dating back from 600 to 1000 AD, a Jyotirlinga Temple & Daulatabad Fort at a short distance. Ajanta, which houses 30 rock-cut caves from the 2nd century BCE, is a popular day excursion from Aurangabad.
