Overview

Ahmedabad, also known as Amdavad, is India’s first World Heritage City and is located on the banks of the River Sabarmati in the state of Gujarat. It is known to be one of the most modern cities in India, yet steeped in history and culture. It was the abode of Mahatma Gandhi and the Dandi March (Salt March) began from here. It has many historical attractions.
